Moscow: Russian President Vladimir Putin delivered a speech at the Harbin Institute of Technology  and interacted with teachers and students in the fields of education, science and technology cooperation, cultural exchanges, youth development, etc.

This year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Russia. Educational cooperation has always been an important area of ​​cooperation between the two countries. The Harbin Institute of Technology carries out scientific and educational cooperation with many well-known Russian universities, such as St. Petersburg University.

Putin said that cooperation between higher education institutions in Russia and China provides high-quality education opportunities for young people of the two countries and deepens understanding between peoples and peoples. Russia wants to strengthen cooperation with China and provide more exchanges and learning platforms for young people of the two countries.

Putin also said that about 90 thousand students are learning Chinese in universities, secondary schools and primary schools in Russia, and many people are learning Russian in China. As the areas of cooperation between Russia and China are expanding, there is a need for more and more talents who understand both languages ​​and are proficient in professional fields.

Putin arrived in Harbin on the morning of May 17. On the same day, he attended the 8th China-Russia Fair and laid flowers at the Soviet Martyrs Memorial in Harbin.
